Summary

"Send in the Dogs" follows the work of police dogs and the relationships they form with their handlers in the fight against crime. London's police dog squad has 300 pooches of various shapes, sizes and talents and they take part in all manner of activities, including anti-terror operations, armed raids, sieges, airport searches, football matches, hunting for missing bodies and retrieving escaped prisoners. Series one featured a cocker spaniel called Diesel who is trained to sniff out drugs on the streets of Camden, and a German shepherd who is quick to chase after a suspect who has made a dash for freedom after crashing a car. It premiered on ITV in 2008.
