Episode 5: The Road Less Travelled

Summary

Review

There’s a certain comfort to be found in Casualty, in that no matter how unhappy you might be with your own lot in life, there’s always someone having a worse time of it in that ED.

This week, it’s Jade who’s experiencing the day from hell as she gets in trouble with management and has a fraught reunion with her estranged birth mum before snapping and abusing a patient.

As ever, actor Gabriella Leon delivers the goods, with her face the very picture of anguish, but the episode’s ending feels rather rushed. In fact, Jade is seen making a huge decision that will affect her entire future in less time than it takes to write a prescription.
