Episode 13: Retribution

Summary

Rash's life hangs in the balance when he is kidnapped, forced into the boot of a car, and brought to an abandoned building by Hafsa's gang, who want him to save their leader's life. He does his best to save his patient, only to discover the young man he persuaded to leave the gang now stands accused of betraying them. Dylan agrees to treat a patient with a past drinking problem, and discovers that she is secretly pregnant

Review

The aim of a pre-titles teaser is to hook viewers in, and tonight’s certainly gets the job done, with Rash seen having a sack thrown over his head before being bundled into a waiting car. As you’ll no doubt have guessed, the abduction is tied to the brutal street-gang warfare that has broken out in the area – and this time it’s the Machiavellian Hafsa who’s been injured.

At the ED, meanwhile, we have comedian Rosie Jones making another welcome guest appearance as Paula Kettering, last seen making a smash-and-grab raid on an off-licence in search of cider. Now, Paula’s revealing that she’s pregnant, but it’s an admission that soon leaves Dylan facing a dilemma.
