Episode 12: Gasping For Air

Summary

Jan and Ffion are forced together in a terrifying hostage situation. They are held captive by a terminally ill lawyer who livestreams his actions on the internet, claiming that one of his clients is responsible for his condition. Stevie is on edge as she waits for Ethan to regain consciousness, convinced that her job is hanging in the balance

Review

Ethan is in a bad way following last week’s stabbing and Stevie is fretting that, should he regain consciousness, he’ll reveal all about her unhinged behaviour. In the past, murderous Holby medics fearing that their crimes were about to be exposed have thought nothing of smothering their victims with a pillow. But mercifully, Casualty tonight offers up a fresh take on this oh-so-familiar situation.

Away from the ED, warring Jan and Ffion get involved in an armed siege at a local squash club. When it comes to fixing the problems in their marriage, there’s a chance that this tense stand-off might prove to be of more help than any relationship-counselling session.
