Episode 1: Late Night Mash

Summary

Nish Kumar and the team, including Rachel Parris, Ellie Taylor, Geoff Norcott and Steve N Allen, share up-to-the-minute topical insights and fake news reports

Review

In March last year, the BBC cancelled The Mash Report citing that old chestnut of wanting to “make room” for new comedy. Now Dave has ridden in like a proverbial knight; they’ve rescued the programme and have brought back Nish Kumar, Rachel Parris and the team of comics familiar to fans. Late Night Mash will also be bigger than ever. That’s not hyperbole: the episode length has been upped to an hour, while the series itself will enjoy a longer series run than it ever did previously.

As Kumar succinctly summed up in a statement, “Mash is rising from the dead. I’m not saying I’m Jesus, I just look more like him than most images would have you believe.” Praise be.
