Summary

"Killinaskully" is a TV comedy about the bizarre goings-on in a fictional Irish village called Killinaskully. The humour is derived from characterisations of stereotypical rural Irish folk. Comedian Pat Shortt performs a number of the characters, including professional alcoholic Dan Clancy, corrupt politician Willie Power, teacher Louis Cantwell, traveller Pa Connors, and Goretti, the sexually voracious female owner of a bed and breakfast. Other characters include Sgt Dick Toole (Pascal Scott), who presides over a garda station, Jacksie Walsh (Páraic Breathnach), the proprietor of a bar, mechanic Jimmy Bourke (Jack Walsh) and local primary school teacher Miss Catherine Fahy (Aoife Molony). It ran for 36 episodes and can be seen on RTE One.
