As the name suggests, the original series of Star Trek – often known as Star Trek: TOS – was the start of what is now a huge sci-fi TV and movie franchise.

Beginning in 1966, the series follows the crew of the USS Enterprise as they explore the galaxy, coming across dangerous enemies and moral quandaries.
