Former X Factor judge Tulisa has been arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.
The news comes following a tabloid report alleging the singer, 24, had arranged a deal for half an ounce of cocaine and that a dossier of information would be passed to the police.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police issued yesterday confirmed they had “received information concerning the alleged supply of illegal drugs at a central London location”.
A 35-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of the same offence.
According to the report in The Sun, Tulisa was filmed offering up a contact who reportedly delivered the drugs to a journalist.
“Half my phone book sells it. Of course I can get it for you…” Tulisa is said to have told the reporter over lunch at London restaurant Nobu. “Half the guys I know are drug dealers. One’s a massive cocaine dealer. He’s my best friend. He’s a gangster — he’s my gangster.
“Whatever you want, he’s got it.”
Tulisa reportedly said she did not take cocaine herself but regularly arranged deals for friends.
No statement has yet been made by or on behalf of the star since the allegations surfaced.
