If there's one thing Chelsea owner Todd Boehly loves doing, it's splashing the cash in the transfer window so January is usually a busy period at Stamford Bridge.

The club's hit rate with their new signings over the past 18 months is pretty poor and things are still hardly clicking on the pitch, although Cole Palmer recruited from rivals Manchester City is shining brightly for Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine coach will be keen to make a few tweaks in the winter window, but a bloated squad and the need to comply with Financial Fair Play will surely mean departures as well as arrivals.

Mauricio Pochettino called on Stamford Bridge chiefs to bring in new players in the January transfer window but it's been more about shifting players out rather than bringing fresh faces in.

Chelsea have offloaded David Datro Fofana and Ian Maatsen to Burnley and Borussia Dortmund respectively this month, while Conor Callagher could still potentially leave Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are reportedly willing to consider offers for Callagher, despite the midfielder being one of their best players in the first half of the campaign. Tottenham are interested in luring the England international across London, although the Chelsea academy graduate is unlikely to push for a move.

It's claimed the Blues are eyeing up Everton midfielder Amadou Onana if they sell Gallagher to Tottenham, however, Arsenal and Newcastle are also in for the 22-year-old.

Chelsea are also on the hunt for a new striker, with Napoli hotshot Victor Osimhen and Brentford's main man Ivan Toney on their wishlist.

In terms of a short-term fix, Karim Benzema is a potential target for the Blues.

The Frenchman is said to be keen to leave Al Ittihad after just six months in Saudi Arabia, however, it remains to be seen whether they will sanction an exit for the former Real Madrid star.
