Emmerdale: new details of Charity’s explosive prison release are revealed!

Actress Emma Atkins will be back on the ITV soap full time from next month

Charity Dingle be blasting back onto our screens as a free woman in the coming weeks – and behind the wheel of a Ferrari!

Unscrupulous Charity has been banged up this past year for perverting the course of justice, but will make her full-time comeback to the village on Thursday 11 March, following actress Emma Atkins’s return from maternity leave.

In the build-up to Charity’s reappearance, the police will be seen arriving at Butler’s farm to question Cain about a stolen Ferrari, only for him and Moira to then come across Charity in the very vehicle while out driving down a country road.

Moira is left incredulous at Charity’s attitude as she explains that she couldn’t well come back from prison with nothing. But with the police hot on Charity’s heels, how will Moira and Cain resolve the situation?

Speaking recently about his plans for Charity, new Emmerdale producer Iain MacLeod said

“I’m keen to get my hands on a character that is so box office and capable of anything. She can start a fight and a story in an empty room. And her intention is to destabilise Cain and Moira in any way that she can.

“And there’s a long term story there that will pay off towards the end of the year with a massively heartbreaking dilemma for Cain that will test where his loyalties lie.”
