Emmerdale set tours planned for the summer

The village shown in the ITV soap looks set to be open to fans from August

Emmerdale fans could be offered the chance to tour the exterior village set of the ITV soap this summer.

Subject to planning, iconic landmarks such as the outside of the Woolpack will be accessible to the public for a limited period later this year.

Each Sunday, from 2 August to 18 October, guests will get a fully-guided tour of the set, which has been located within the Harewood Estate in Leeds since 1998.

The attraction is to be run by Continuum Attractions, the company behind Coronation Street the Tour, which is due to come to an end on 31 December 2015.

A spokesperson said today: “Continuum Attractions is delighted to continue its working relationship with ITV.”
