Pete Barton (Anthony Quinlan) is to feel the long arm of the law in the coming weeks when he’s arrested for manslaughter.
A beleaguered Pete is to find his drugs past coming back to haunt him when he’s accused by the police of previously selling ecstasy which resulted in a girl dying. To add to his worries, he’s also arrested for supplying drugs.
“A year ago, Pete was selling drugs for what he thought were the right reasons,” says actor Anthony Quinlan. “It was to try and keep the farm afloat. As a last resort. So it comes back to haunt him.”
The situation is to lead to Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) deciding that he wants to keep his kids away from Pete and goes for custody.
But events get even more fraught when – on Tuesday 25 November – DI Bails arrives at Butler’s Farm to arrest Pete for manslaughter. Will he end up going to prison?
