Debbie (Charley Webb) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) are to find themselves struggling to survive in tonight’s Emmerdale double bill as flood waters consume the Woolpack cellar.
When Chas becomes trapped, Debbie is forced to swim down to try and release her. But with killer Cameron (Dominic Power) still armed and dangerous, they’re going to have to fight hard to escape his clutches.
Cameron has already taken the lives of three villagers and put Alicia in hospital with a gunshot wound – so could he now be about to claim further victims?
Lucy Pargeter said of the scenes, which were filmed on Pinewood Studios’ underwater stage: “When you go swimming, you tend to have goggles on. What I completely forgot is that everything’s a blur once you take the goggles off. Which isn’t that helpful when you’re trying to do stunts!”
Co-star Charley Webb added: “Personally, I think the Woolpack siege is better than last year’s live episode. Everybody involved has worked so hard and I hope we get even more viewers watching this than we did to watch the 40th anniversary.”
