Stand-up comedian to join Emmerdale as “pivotal part of crucial storyline”

Comic, writer and actress Hannah George will appear as a doctor in two episodes of the ITV soap

Emmerdale is set to welcome stand-up comedian Hannah George on board for a brief but apparently “crucial” stint on the ITV soap.

George, who is also an actress and comedy writer, will appear as a doctor in two consecutive episodes of Emmerdale airing on 25 and 26 June.

While remaining tight-lipped regarding further details of her role, she said
”It’s so exciting to be a pivotal part of such a crucial storyline.”

Asked if she was likely to include her experiences on the soap in future stand-up gigs, George said
”Honestly the whole cast and crew were so wonderful to work with I would only be able to do five minutes about how much I love them. Come to think of it, that sounds like it might be quite funny.”
