Is Max about to do the unthinkable and kill EastEnders icon Dot Branning? It certainly seems that she’s now going to be one of his targets after he ominously threatened her life while laying down the law to Charlie Cotton.
In scenes just broadcast, Max was seen warning Charlie not to go soft on him, before adding in the ominous, “say hello to Dot”. The implication wasn’t lost on Charlie, who then invited Dot to move back to Ireland with him.
The threat against Dot came after all Charlie ensured that all assault charges against Jack were dropped by the police, a move that didn’t go down well with Max who wants his brother to experience life behind bars.
And it looks as though the whispered warning wasn’t just idle bullying – an upcoming EastEnders trailer saw Dot lying motionless on the floor of her home: is this proof that she’s about to meet her maker thanks to Max’s machinations?
