EastEnders: will Jack change his mind about Charlie taking Matthew?

Heartbreaking scenes in tomorrow's visit to Walford

EastEnders is lining up more heartbreak for Jack Branning next week.

Having agreed to let Charlie Cotton take little Matthew to live with him in Ireland in Friday’s instalment, the emotional ex-copper struggles to come to terms with the decision to let his stepson go.

In these new pictures from tomorrow night’s episode, Charlie pays his rival parent a visit and assures Jack he will take good care of his kid. But it ends up making Jack feel even worse and he begins to doubt what he’s done.

As the reality of losing Matthew hits hard, will Jack change his mind and go back on the promise he made to Charlie and his wife Liz? And if he does, how will big brother Max feel, seeing as this whole business is part of his nefarious plot to get revenge on his brother along with everyone else in Walford who wronged him (which appears to be the entire cast).

Could Jack make another attempt to do a runner with Matthew following his recent aborted attempt at skipping the country? Or will he stick to his word and allow Charlie to leave the Square with his son?

EastEnders airs these scenes tomorrow, Monday 5 June at 8pm on BBC1.
