EastEnders: new anguish for Jay Brown revealed as he turns to crime

Jay has plans for Roxy's stash of drugs

Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) will go down a dangerous career path in next week’s EastEnders after encountering difficulties in getting a regular job.

Upcoming episodes of the BBC1 soap will see Jay go for a job interview, which quickly goes downhill after his potential boss says that he’s going to call Phil for a reference.

With Jay currently ostracised from the Mitchell family patriarch after being put on the sex offenders’ register for five years, it looks as though this employment opportunity could well hit the buffers.

And worse is to come on the home front when a downbeat Jay overhears Honey and Billy talking about him. Scenes to be shown at the end of next week will see Billy admit that parents at the school disagree with the decision to have Jay live with them.

Feeling desperate, Jay heads over to Roxy’s and – after Jack leaves – begs her to give him the drugs that she recently trafficked into the country because he needs the cash. But is becoming a dealer only going to make matters worse for an already beleaguered Jay?
