EastEnders: first look at Jordan Johnson’s return to the Square

Doctor Who actor Joivan Wade arrives in Walford next month

EastEnders has released brand-new images that show the upcoming return of Jordan Johnson to the BBC1 soap.

Lucas’s son Jordan – now played by Doctor Who actor Joivan Wade – will first be seen in the episode to be broadcast on Monday 8 February when he has a showdown with Denise Fox (Diane Parish).

Viewers will see Denise embark on a quest to find Jordan but she’s left disheartened when it seems he doesn’t want to be contacted. But a surprise cliffhanger will see an angry Jordan show up, only to tell Denise that he wants her to leave him alone.

But it seems that there’s plenty of drama ahead for Jordan once he makes his presence felt in Walford. A show insider recently said of the character’s return: “Denise can still see the good in her stepson but viewers will be left fearing that volatile Jordan takes very much after his father.

“As Denise makes inroads with Jordan, viewers will all fear that she’s putting herself, her family and the entire Square in danger.”

Actor Joivan Wade himself said of his signing to the BBC1 soap: “Coming into EastEnders is an absolute dream. Jordan is going through a very tough time and needs people in his corner but with a Dad like Lucas will he be able to trust anyone?”
