EastEnders spoilers: has Emma Summerhayes found Lucy Beale’s killer?

Does a USB sent to the detective constable contain video that points to the murderer?

Emma Summerhayes (Anna Acton) has certainly been getting closer to the residents of Albert Square than other members of the police force, so has she finally discovered the identity of Lucy Beale’s murdered?

In the run-up to Christmas, a letter will be seen being pushed through the door of the Brannings’ house and Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) soon hands the envelope over to Summerhayes. Sitting in her car, Emma opens the letter to discover a USB containing a video from the night Lucy was murdered. Does the stick contain information on Lucy’s murderer?

Viewers of last Thursday’s episode of EastEnders saw video from Fatboy’s mobile phone show that Lauren had lied about her whereabouts on the night Lucy was murdered. Grainy footage revealed Lauren to be lurking outside Lucy’s house, contradicting her claim that she’d gone to Roxy’s party before going straight home.

While the BBC1 soap has yet to confirm whether the video contained on Fatboy’s phone and that on the USB are one and the same, Lauren will be seen acting shocked when Summerhayes shows her the footage she’s been handed. But is her reaction down to surprise or guilt?
