EastEnders spoilers: Lauren starts to doubt Jake’s guilt, reveals Jacqueline Jossa

The actress speaks to RadioTimes.com about Lauren's encounter with the imprisoned Jake Stone

Actress Jacqueline Jossa has told RadioTimes.com that her EastEnders character Lauren Branning will start to reconsider her opinion on Jake Stone (Jamie Lomas).

Viewers recently saw Lauren land Jake in jail after she came to suspect him of murdering Lucy Beale. But an upcoming visit to see the imprisoned sous-chef will leave Lauren uncertain as to whether Jake is actually guilty.

“It’s crazy,” says Jossa, about Lauren’s course of action. “She needs to prove to herself that he did do it because it was a rash decision to put him in jail. She wants to make sure that she made the right choice.”

However, the trip behind bars doesn’t exactly go as planned: “She possibly feels that she didn’t make the right choice!” reveals the actress.

As for Lauren’s relationship with dad Max (Jake Wood), who was recently exposed as Lucy’s illicit lover, it seems that the outlook is bleak: “I can’t really see it going very well. But, on the other hand, she does kind of think, ‘well, it is Max Branning. How did we not see this coming?’”
