EastEnders spoilers: Lola and Ronnie crash aftermath – first look pictures

Scenes set to be shown this evening show Jay tending to his friend

When we last saw Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold), she’d been thrown to the ground and was lying motionless after being knocked over by Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack).

It was a shock reminder for Ronnie of a past tragedy with the collision happening at the exact same spot where her daughter Danielle was killed.

Of the surprise scenes, actress Danielle Harold – who plays Lola – said recently: Lola just walks into the path of Ronnie’s car without looking. She’s stormed off after falling out with Peter, and then Jay attempts to kiss her as he’s trying to calm her down. She runs away and that’s when Ronnie hits her.”

Now the BBC has released images of scenes set to be shown this evening (BBC1, 8pm) that show the immediate aftermath of the accident. Jay (Jamie Borthwick) is quick to tend to Lola, while Shirley (Linda Henry) is also on the scene. Ronnie, though, stands frozen in shock by her car. But will Lola be OK or is history really set to repeat itself?
