EastEnders: Cindy Beale’s daughter arrives in Albert Square – first look pictures

Cindy Junior, now played by Mimi Keene, will be on screen from August

First Peter Beale arrives back in Walford – now get ready for Cindy Junior, who is set to spend the summer holidays in E20 and fail to tell Ian and co that she has no intention of being sent home to Devon once term restarts.

Cindy Junior (played by Mimi Keene, whose previous credits include recent BBC1 drama Our Girl) is the daughter of Cindy Beale, who died in prison after the birth due to an embolism. For those who have trouble keeping track of Ian Beale’s family tree, Cindy Junior is therefore the half-sister of Steven, Peter and Lucy Beale.

Last seen in 2007, when she was played by Eva Sayer, Cindy Junior will be back on screens with her fresh face this August and looks set to be a character prone to getting into hot water thanks to her lack of inhibitions.

Lorraine Newman, executive producer, said of Cindy Junior’s arrival: “Mimi is an exciting addition to the show and a great actress as her previous work has shown. Cindy’s a minx, creating a great energy within the newly reformed Beale clan. With Peter, Lucy, Bobby and Cindy to contend with, it’ll be a lively household. Ian and Denise will certainly have their work cut out.”
