EastEnders spoilers: Max and Jack Branning come to blows? – first look pictures

The pair have a stand-off outside No 5 Albert Square after Max grows suspicious of his brother Jack's involvement with his family

Max Branning (Jake Wood) is to square up to Jack (Scott Maslen) after growing increasingly concerned about his brother’s closeness to his family.

In scenes set to air in the coming weeks, Max pays a visit to No 5 Albert Square and throws Jack out of the family home, his mind going into overdrive having already spied his sibling offering support to Tanya (Jo Joyner) on an earlier occasion. The two Branning boys then go face to face outside the front door, but Jack laughs as Max flinches when he goes to hit him. Will the brothers come to blows?

Max has recently split up from Tanya following the arrival of secret wife Kirsty (Kierston Wareing) who turned up on Christmas Day. Jack is currently facing ructions in his relationship with Sharon Rickman (Letitia Dean) thanks to his continuing antagonism with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Viewers can see the stand off between Max and Jack play out on Thursday 14 March at 7.30pm on BBC1.
