No more mud! Glastonbury Festival to get a real hotel

A pop up hotel will charge £2k to stay in a real bed, just outside the arena

Sick of being muddy and dirty all weekend but don’t want to miss out on the music event of the year? There may be a solution, but it will cost you.

This year The Snoozebox pop-up hotel will be erected just outside Glastonbury Festival’s ‘Gate A’, and will be an oasis in which revellers can get some much-needed shut-eye in a proper bed. Rooms will also come with electricity sockets for charging phones and using hairdryers, TVs and wi-fi, plus heating and air conditioning (just in case it’s unusually sunny this year).

Each room will also come with an en-suite, so attendees can get do as much mud wrestling as they like, safe in the knowledge they don’t have to queue for festival showers or sleep covered in the brown stuff all weekend.
During Glastonbury, there will be 40 double rooms up for grabs at an eye watering £1,995 for five nights, including breakfast.

The Snoozebox can also be converted in to 400 rooms and will be doing the rounds this year; it’s also going to pop up at  the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Northamptonshire, the Ryder Cup in Perthshire and the heavy rock Download Festival in Leicestershire.
