Hugh Grant in Paddington 2

The promise of Hugh Grant dressed up as a nun and a giant dog are surely all the convincing you need to watch this new trailer for Paddington 2?

The hilarious preview for the upcoming sequel has arrived, and it’s basically a who’s who of some of the country’s best-loved talent – and you also get to see the Notting Hill actor wearing a habit.

Ben Whishaw returns to voice the eponymous bear in the trailer, which also pays tribute to the original animated series with a charming sequence in the opening minute.

Original cast Peter Capaldi, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent and Hugh Bonneville are all returning, with Hugh Grant, Brendan Gleeson and Sanjeev Bhaskar all joining the film.

The sequel sees Paddington Bear taking on odd jobs like window cleaning (which he does with his bum) in order to buy Aunt Lucy a 100th birthday present.

But when the gift is stolen from Mr Gruber’s antique shop before Paddington gets to buy it, he embarks on a mission to find the thief.

Paddington 2 will be released November 2017
