Coronation Street: Callum’s body to be discovered?

Corrie producer Stuart Blackburn hints that Callum's corpse is about to be dug up

Are the contents of Gail’s manhole about to be exposed? It’s the big question that Coronation Street viewers will be asking this summer when the killing of Callum Logan returns to haunt the Platt family.

Speaking about whether Callum’s body could end up being discovered, Corrie producer Stuart Blackburn said: “That particular secret will come to light at the end of spring or in early summer.”

Viewers saw Kylie Platt kill Callum during a live episode of the ITV soap screened in September 2014. Kylie, David and Sarah then conspired to bury his corpse down the manhole in the annexe at No 8 Coronation Street.

But speculation has been rife that the secret could come out following the announcement that actress Paula Lane – who plays Kylie – is currently expecting her second child. The 29-year-old actress tweeted earlier this month:

So will the plot twist concerning Callum result in Kylie being arrested, thus facilitating any maternity leave Lane plans to take from Weatherfield?

“The discovery may not directly impact the characters you think it will,” Blackburn teased to Inside Soap.
