The new channel will repeat the previous day’s primetime output from Channel 5 plus a mixture of recent programming and teleshopping

Channel 5 viewers wishing to catch up with the previous day’s episodes of shows like Robson Green’s Extreme Fishing and new drama commission Suspects are in luck following confirmation that the broadcaster is to launch a new TV channel, Channel 5 +24.
Unlike the +1 channels brought in by competitors including Channel 4 and ITV, 5’s new offering will air the previous day’s Channel 5 primetime programmes from 7pm until around 12 midnight-1am.
On digital terrestrial platforms Freeview, BT TV, TalkTalk and YouView, 5 +24 will broadcast teleshopping between 10am and 7pm. This will resume following its primetime output until 6am, except on Freeview where the channel will close down.
Channel 5 +24 will begin broadcasting on Tuesday 4 February in the following slots on Electronic Programme Guides:
Channel 5 +24 EPG channel numbers
Freeview – 55
Freesat – 132
Sky – 175
Virgin – 152
NB: Virgin 152 is currently occupied by 5*+1, but the broadcaster is expected to drop this in favour of the new channel
