Caption company issues apology after naming Zooey Deschanel as Boston bombing suspect

Fox news affiliate KDFW accidentally identified teenager Dzhokhar Tsarnaev as the New Girl actress during their coverage of the marathon aftermath

The on-screen caption read: “Marathon Bomber. He is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel.” The 33-year-old TV star eventually noticed the blunder, later tweeting to her 4.2 million followers:

Kala J. Patterson – president of the offending company, Caption Solutions – has issued an apology for the mishap, saying the firm “deeply regret” the mistake and “sincerely apologise for the error” they made.
