Broadcasting stars pay tribute to Ed ‘Stewpot’ Stewart

Les Dennis and Noel Edmonds were among those who expressed fond words for the much-loved BBC DJ who has died aged 74


British broadcasting greats took to Twitter to express their sadness at the death of Ed Stewart, who died after a stroke at age 74. From Les Dennis to Zoe Ball, a whole host of stars and colleagues paid tribute to the much-loved BBC DJ and Crackerjack presenter.


 Stewart’s fellow BBC colleague Noel Edmonds payed homage to how he had kick-started his career.

Philip Schofield fondly remembered Stewart’s kindness as well as his talent. 

Jeremy Vine expressed his sadness at his colleague’s death.

Zoe Ball paid tribute to the DJ, who she said was responsible for some of her favourite radio shows. 


Les Dennis also praised Stewart’s talent and character.
