Who does he play? Bob Paine is Ed’s co-worker at the train station.

Where have I seen him before? On stage he’s been in The History Boys, Tom’s Midnight Garden, and England People Very Nice. His TV credits include Cutting It and guest roles in Casualty, New Tricks and Hollyoaks. He played an ISA Worker in the 2012 Doctor Who episode Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.

Linda – Tuppence Middleton

Who does she play? Linda makes her first appearance at the ticket booth run by Ed and Bob, where she asks for a ticket to Macon Heights – a place that doesn’t exist.

Where have I seen her before? Tuppence Middleton stars as Riley Blue in Sense8. She’ll star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in upcoming movie The Current War, and she played Amelia Havisham in the TV series Dickensian.

Martine Jenkins – Anne Reid

Who does she play? Martine Jenkins is a journalist who knows quite a bit about Macon Heights and its half-existence.

Where have I seen her before? Anne Reid spent a decade playing Ken Barlow’s wife Valerie in Coronation Street. She’s since starred in Last Tango in Halifax, Our Zoo, and Upstairs Downstairs.

Waitress – Hayley Squires

Who does she play? This waitress befriends Ed when he arrives in Macon Heights, giving him slices of her homemade cakes.

Where have I seen her before? Hayley Squires has previously played roles in I, Daniel Blake, Southcliffe, and Call the Midwife.
