Josh Homme – the lead singer of rock band Queens of the Stone Age – will be the next celebrity to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story.
Homme will narrate the tale of Zog, an accident-prone student of Madam Dragon’s school.
It will be a change of scenery for Homme, whose natural habitat is singing songs like “Sick, Sick, Sick” and “Burn the Witch” on stage in front of thousands of moshing rock fans.
The singer will join the long list of celebrities who have sat in the CBeebies “story corner” including Suranne Jones, Tom Hardy, Chris Evans, Damian Lewis and David Tennant, to name a few.
Taboo and Peaky Blinders actor Hardy has been a mainstay of the format this year, recording four separate tales which have aired throughout 2017 including instalments on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.
Homme’s bedtime story will air on Friday 6th October on CBeebies at 6.50pm.
