Calling all addicts of The Archers: BBC Birmingham is opening a special behind-the-scenes exhibit to fans, showcasing milestone moments and celebrity fans of the soap.
And even better: 200 listeners of the Radio 4 drama will be selected at random to visit the radio studio where the events of Ambridge are brought to life.
They will also get the chance to hear from Simon Williams (who plays Justin Elliott), Sunny Ormonde (Lilian Bellamy), writer Tim Stimpson and producer Kim Greengrass. They’ll be revealing inside secrets of the show, including, as the BBC promise, “how a water melon played a key part in Helen and Rob’s domestic abuse storyline”.
You don’t get that with Eastenders.
Tickets will be distributed by random draw, with 80 per cent going to listeners in the following BBC regions: BBC West Midlands, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, BBC Hereford & Worcester, BBC Radio Stoke and BBC Radio Shropshire, and 20 per cent to the rest of the UK.
You can apply for tickets here before 4pm, Friday 8 September. The BBC Birmingham Archers exhibition opens on Saturday 23rd September.
