ITV’s Dancing On Ice is officially skating back onto our screens in 2018.
The broadcaster has announced original hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield – who now present This Morning together – will front the competition that was put on ice in 2014. Legendary skating pair Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will also be returning to lead the judging panel, with two more judges still to be confirmed.
Although the format of pairing celebrities with professional skaters has remained unaltered, Dancing on Ice is returning with a slight spin, promising a new studio and harder routines. But let’s face it, you’ll only really notice the difference if they put a loop-de-loop in the centre of the rink.
But hey, more of these routines are certainly welcome…
Holly Willoughby said: “I’m so excited to be returning to a show that I love so much! Working with Jayne and Chris is always such an honour and it’s even more special as it’s the show that Phil and I first worked on together … it’s full of wonderful memories and I can’t wait to make some new ones!”
Phillip Schofield said: “I’m often told how much people have missed Dancing on Ice, and with the show so fondly remembered, it’s exciting for us all to now have the chance to breathe new life into the show, and of course spending an extra day of the week with Holly is the icing on the cake!”
