Billy is, of course, furious with Phil for his betrayal of Jay following recent revelations concerning the lad’s parentage. As fans know, Phil has spun Jay a story that Jase Dyer wasn’t his real father – his actual dad having died in a fire at the car lot started by Phil himself.

But Phil (who is colluding with Jay’s granddad Bert) knows that his so-called confession is a terrible lie, not that Billy and Jay are aware of this.

Week 36 - Phil and Billy

This evening’s episode of the BBC1 soap sees Billy storming round to Phil’s house in order to confront him, only to find himself at a loss for words. Losing his temper, Billy soon lets his fists do the talking.

But will he regret his actions? After all, a gas explosion looks set to rip through the Square this week – and when Phil goes missing, it’s suspected that he could be one of the casualties…
