In 2007, Harwood picked up what would be a major presenting role in his career in Prank Patrol, where he helped children plan and pull off their own pranks targeted at one of their loved ones. The show ran for three series until its cancellation in 2012.

In the same year, Harwood starred with his partner puppet Nev in Bear Behaving Badly, a sitcom which explored their lives outside of Smile. This ran for four seasons, before ending in 2010.

Harwood has been a presenter on Blue Peter, the long-running children’s magazine show, since 2011, taking a break in 2016 before returning to appear on a semi-permanent basis. He will leave the show for good on 14th September to “move onto new adventures”.
