New Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith paid tribute to her predecessor Mary Berry with a bold choice of kitchenwear during filming on the final of the upcoming Channel 4 series. But viewers won’t be seeing it on screen as she was told to remove the offending item before shooting could continue…
“I decide to cheer things up and walk on wearing a pink apron, given to me by my agent,” writes Leith in her Bake Off diary for Mail Online. “The front is emblazoned with ‘What Would Mary Say?’ Everyone laughs, but the director calls ‘Cut!’ and that bit won’t make it to the programme, sadly.”
Now what would Mary say about that?
The Great British Bake Off starts on Channel 4 on Tuesday 29th August at 8pm
