The critically-acclaimed Dave sitcom is coming back this autumn – and series star James Buckley says it’s gotten a lot bigger
It’ll soon be time for a return trip to the magical land of Munty, with critically-acclaimed Dave sitcom Zapped back this autumn – and now RadioTimes.com can exclusively reveal a first-look image from the series, which continues the adventures of unlucky temp Brian (James Buckley) as he’s transported to a strange fantasy world by a magical amulet.
Also starring Paul Kaye, Sharon Rooney, Kenneth Collard and Louis Emerick, the show first aired last autumn in a short three-part series, and will return for a longer run coming later this year.
“What was great about doing a three-episode pilot is that we don’t have to spend too much time reintroducing what’s going on,’ Buckley told RadioTimes.com on the set of the new series. “We can just sort of hit the ground running.
“Obviously the series arc is just Brian trying to get home, but now we can focus on his day-to-day life of living in Munty. Now we can actually find out what the other characters do, and how they spend their time.”
“It’s more about the town, it’s more about Munty, it’s more about the peripheral characters. But in the middle of it all it’s just Brian trying to get home.
