EastEnders is lining up a huge stunt which sees Linda Carter and son Johnny in mortal danger when they’re travelling in an ambulance that crashes – will they survive?
Cast and crew have been filming on location in Essex this week for the upcoming storyline and allegedly had to rewrite part of the plot when the ambulance used in the crash overturned during filming, when it was only supposed to spin out of control.
According to reports the mishap (in which, luckily, no one was harmed) has been worked into the episode, making it even more dramatic than was first intended.
Scenes being filmed today are said to show Johnny, already bandaged up (but why?), and Linda climbing out of the flipped ambulance. Joining Kellie Bright and Ted Reilly on location were Danny Dyer (Mick Carter) and Scott Maslen (Jack Branning).
Will the incident bring Mick and Linda closer together after next week’s dramatic three-hander which reveals Mick’s dalliance with daughter-in-law Whitney?
An EastEnders insider confirmed to RadioTimes.com the stunt forms part of a major storyline which will be on screen next month, promising “there are big things to come for the Carters.”
