Despite major behind-the-scenes changes in the wake of a tragedy, DC’s Justice League film looks to be shaping up nicely. During a panel discussion at Comic Con, stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa debuted an extended, 4-minute trailer, which looks a bit more promising than the first preview.
In the clip, Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman (Momoa) and The Flash (Miller) unite to take on new villian Steppenwolf. Henry Cavill’s Superman is nowhere to be seen, but his presence is heavily suggested towards the end of the trailer. Check it out below.
The film, which also stars JK Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Jeremy Irons as Alfred and Willem Defoe as Aquaman’s ally Nuidis Vulko, looks a lot lighter in tone than previous DC superhero flicks Suicide Squad and Batman vs Superman, and seems to lean more toward the sensibilities of Patty Jenkins’ wonderful recent take on Wonder Woman.
Avengers director Joss Whedon took over directorial responsibilties from Zac Snyder (Batman vs Superman), who pulled out of the project following the death of his daughter.
