Thirteen’s Jodie Comer to star in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s new US series Killing Eve

Comer will play a psychopathic killer in the BBC America show

Jodie Comer has been cast as the joint-lead in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s new US series Killing Eve.

Comer, best known for appearing in BBC dramas Thirteen and Doctor Foster, will perform opposite Sandra Oh of Grey’s Anatomy fame in the new BBC America drama from the creator of Fleabag.

The eight-part series is a dramatic cat-and-mouse thriller about Villanelle, a psychopathic killer played by Comer. Oh will star as Eve, the woman charged with hunting her down.

Waller-Bridge, who won a Bafta for her much-beloved series Fleabag, will serve as showrunner and executive producer.

The show will air in 2018.
