Downton Abbey returned to our screens tonight for its sixth season. To the dismay of its tens of thousands of fans, it’s set to be the last, with the drama coming to a close this Christmas Day. 


But from the look of this first episode we can dry our eyes because the final few episodes are set to be corkers, jam-packed with some brilliant put-downs and lines that had us reaching for the hankies…
