Coronation Street: Bethany reels as case against Nathan is dropped

Will the evil pimp go free?

Bethany Platt will be left distraught in next week’s Coronation Street when she gets upsetting news about the police case against Nathan.

The upcoming drama sees Bethany confiding in Mary that she’s dreading Nathan’s court case, but gets reassurance that she’s doing the right thing.

But a police officer then calls at Number 8 to break the news to Sarah that they haven’t got enough evidence to press charges – a development that comes as a blow to Bethany, who ends up blaming herself.

Consumed with self-loathing, Bethany says that it’s all her fault for being so gullible, a reaction that leaves Mary and Sarah wishing that they could do something to help.

Desperate to aid her daughter, Sarah then whispers to Mary that she’s going to have a word with Neil, the ‘friendly’ police officer who helped Bethany in the past, little knowing that he’s a sexual predator and Nathan’s co-conspirator.

Are the pair set to come face to face again?
