Even if you don’t know your hosta from your hebe, the annual Chelsea Flower Show is still one of the most glorious spectacles on TV. Here’s our guide on how to watch it on BBC1 and BBC2 all week…
Sunday 21 May
Before the event officially opens its doors to public on Monday, presenters Sophie Raworth and Joe Swift get a sneak peek of all the exhibits at 5pm on BBC1.
Monday 22 – Friday 26 May
The kings of TV gardening – Monty Don and Joe Swift – are our hosts at Britain’s premier horticultural event at 8pm on BBC2 every evening.
Special guests throughout the week include green-fingered celebs Joanna Lumley (Monday) and Mary Berry (Tuesday and Thursday). The winner of the Diamond Jubilee Award is announced on Wednesday.
For daytime viewers, there’s also coverage on BBC1 at 3.45pm every day with Nicki Chapman and James Wong. Alternatively, catch up on BBC iPlayer when you get home.
At 7.30pm on Monday Joe Swift and Sophie Raworth introduce one of the Radio 2 Feel Good gardens. The pair return on Friday at 7.30pm on BBC1 to round off some of the highlights from the show, switching to BBC2 from 8pm.
