Christopher Timothy reveals Ted and Joyce’s connection to one famous EastEnders regular

The duo are set to make their debut in next week's episodes

New EastEnders characters Ted and Joyce Murray will be revealed to have had past dealings with Walford stalwart Dot.

The new couple – played by Christopher Timothy and Maggie Steed – are to make their debut next week when they’re moved from their nearby flat (which is scheduled for demolition) onto the Square.

Speaking about Ted and Joyce’s shared history with Dot, Timothy told Inside Soap: “We find out that they and Dot were neighbours in the flats years ago. Ted says, ‘Guess who lives next door – Dot Cotton’. Joyce replies, ‘Oh, she was always poking her nose in!'”

Fans will soon discover whether old animosities between Dot and the Murrays will resurface, although Joyce looks set to get annoyed with her husband when she discovers that he’s broken a promise and brought a piece of their past with him. But what exactly is he hiding?
