Coronation Street: will Amy be snatched after being abandoned by Rob?

Does a passing motorist pose a threat?

Tracy Barlow’s plan to protect Amy has gone badly wrong in tonight’s Coronation Street – with her daughter now potentially in grave danger.

As viewers know, Tracy – who is under the impression that Amy is the one who recently attacked Ken – confessed to the crime in a bid to deflect attention.

Entrusting Amy to the care of fugitive Rob, Tracy handed herself in to the police, but not before telling her lover to take her daughter back to Weatherfield.

The trouble is that a bust-up between Rob and Amy resulted in him abandoning her by the side of the road as he went off to pursue his escape plan.

With Amy left with little option but to hitch-hike, it wasn’t long before she was attracting the attention of a passing motorist. But does the man behind the wheel pose a new threat to Amy’s welfare?

Corrie fans won’t have to wait long to discover whether the driver has malign intentions: the soap returns for the second episode in tonight’s double bill at 8:30pm.
