Re-writing some of The Beatles’ most iconic music to tell the story of Star Wars: A New Hope might sound bonkers, but the finished product is genius. Actually, Mark Hamill goes so far as to say it’s “ingenious”.
The iconic Star Wars actor took to Twitter to say how impressed he was at the efforts of musical parody duo Palette-Swap Ninja.
He tweeted: “Star Wars meets Sgt. Pepper’s? INGENIOUS! I’ll need assistance lifting my jaw from the floor.#TheFabFource”. We think he made up The Fab Fource himself, which we have to say is almost as inspired as this mash-up in the first place!
Anyway, the parody features the entirety of The Beatles album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club re-written so that the lyrics fit the plot of A New Hope.
For example, the line “I get by with a little help from my friends” becomes Darth Vader singing “You’re a spy with illicit help from your friends”. Clever, huh?

We didn’t think the world was never crying out for a Star Wars and Beatles mash-up, but now it’s in our lives we can’t imagine how we ever lived without it.
