Emmerdale: John Bowe confirms exit for Lawrence White

The actor says that it wasn't his decision to go

Emmerdale star John Bowe has confirmed that he is leaving the ITV soap, saying that the decision to exit wasn’t his.

Bose has been playing the role of White family patriarch Lawrence since September 2014, but looks set to depart later this year.

Press rumours from earlier this year hinted at a fatal showdown at Home Farm that will see Lawrence lose his life.

If true, it means that Bowe will have been killed off in two soaps: his Coronation Street character – businessman Duggie Ferguson – was bumped off by Richard Hillman in 2002.

The confirmation from Bowe that he would be going came thanks to an exchange on Twitter that saw the actor comment that he would miss co-Chris Chittell, who plays Eric Pollard.

When asked by a fan whether Chittell was leaving, Bower replied that it was, in fact, the other way around, before adding “not my decision #actorslife”.
