David Tennant is leading the DuckTales cast and the news was broken in the most adorable way

Everyday they're out there making DuckTales! Woo-oo!

News of a DuckTales remake has been out in the open for a while now but the cast have been kept firmly under wraps… until now.

And rather than putting out a generic announcement, Disney decided to have a little fun, revealing their starry line-up in perfect DuckTales style: with a cheery rendition of the show’s iconic theme tune.

But that’s not the only excitement. Leading the show – as Scrooge McDuck himself – is none other than David Tennant, star of Doctor Who, Broadchurch, Jessica Jones and one of our all-round favourite people.

The British actor will be joined by the likes of Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan as Huey, Duey and Louie, respectively. Toks Olagundoye is also on board as Mrs Beakley, while Beck Bennett will play Launchpad McQuack with Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack.

DuckTales is due to launch on Disney XD next summer.
