We’ve got a first peek inside the Christmas Bake Off tent – and it’s got us feeling rather festive.
Emblazoned with crackers and candy canes, Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry are sporting some very snazzy Christmas jumpers alongside Mel and Sue dressed as – what else? – Christmas puddings.
As Sue declares that having the former contestants back in the tent to compete one last time is “like having the family here for Christmas”, the clip cuts to Paul Hollywood proclaiming “Bah, humbug” in typical Paul Hollywood style.
Bakers of Bake Off past, including Howard Middleton, James Morton, Chetna Makan and Norman Calder, are all returning to the tent for one last time in this two-part special that will air on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The clip sees Mel declare a “Bake Off first”, Sue stating that one of the bakes tastes like “a delicious wig” and Chetna breaking something in the freezer.
Special mention also has to go to James, who was always partial to a good knit but really outdoes himself for Christmas:
Although it feels like we’ve been saying goodbye to Bake Off on the BBC for yonks now, this really is it before the programme moves to Channel 4.
Excuse us, we think we might have some cinnamon in our eye…
