EastEnders: Dot to be told her blindness is irreversible?

What will be the diagnosis for the Walford stalwart?

Dot Branning tried to conceal her worsening eyesight from those around her for weeks before concerned pal Patrick cottoned on. But next week in EastEnders, Dot – who is worried she is going blind – will see a specialist eye doctor, who will hopefully be able to shed some light on what is going on.

Patrick has been keeping tabs on Dot ever since he discovered she had problems with her vision and, early next week, he questions her about making an appointment with an ophthalmologist. When she refuses to do so, he intervenes and books an appointment on her behalf.

In scenes to be broadcast on Friday 25 November, a nervous Dot finally goes to see the doctor. Patrick tries to calm her nerves and reassure her before she goes in to see the specialist and meet her fate.

But what will Dot be diagnosed with? Will she find out that her loss of eyesight is irreversible and she has a condition which will lead to blindness?
